Sarasota Magazine After Dark Issue

Hello all!

I wanted to share with you the latest shoot i worked on with sarasota magazine! It was a great time, the theme was "after dark", so the crew literally worked until sunrise! Our call time was 8pm-5am two nights in a row! I dont know about you but i havent stayed up that late well.... ever!

We shot in several different locations around sarasota. The first night we shot at ivory lounge, and a gorgeous home in longboat key. Day two started at 1350 main street and ended at shore diner in st armands.

I loved the story for this shoot, it was "after dark" so we were trying to get the feel of an after party. Sarasota's gala season just kicked off, so this was a great way to show off the latest beautiful gowns . my favorite was the red and tan monique lhullier gown! Amazing!

our model was a trooper for sure, she was peppy and beautiful until the very end. I however was not so lucky...on the last hour of the second day i feel asleep on the couch in shore!

i had an amazing time on this shoot and the crew was so much fun and very kind!

hope you enjoy the pictures!

LORAC unzipped palette review!

Hi there!
I just picked up the new Lorac unzipped palette the other day at ULTA and im in love!!!
It seems like it's following suit of the NAKED palette phenomenon, but what stood out about this one was that the color range seemed to lean more toward the reddy browns, and warm tones rather than the gold browns and neutrals seen in the naked palette and the competitors alike. In addition i was happy to see more matte color choices with 4 matte colors and 6 shimmer colors. I swatched the colors on my hand with no flash, the payoff if great and the shadows have very little fallout. Shadows with a warm/red undertone look fabulous on light colored eyes, making them pop and look more vibrant. I have been using the colors on a few of my clients over this week, including Ashlee my beautiful bride today!
On Ashley:
Brow highlight and inner corner: undercover
Lid: unbelievable
Crease: unconditional and unbridled
Lashline/smudged underneath: untamed
Liner: black track fluid line MAC
Lashes: great lash waterproof, red cherry #217 lashes

Enjoy!

Victoria's Secret liquid eyeshadow radiate review

I rarely purchase makeup from VS but this shimmer liquid eyeshadow in Radiate caught my eye. In the picture I just got off of work and was headed to a party and needed to freshen my look without taking off all my makeup, so I added a coat of radiate on top of my neutral eyeshadow. I really liked that it didn't smudge, crease or transfer on to my eyelashes (which typically happens with liquid or cream shadows). It dries with little fallout. I swatched the shadow alone (top) and then I layered it with MAC pigment in Copper Sparkle (bottom) love it! I would highly recommend this shadow for a fun night out, and I will definitely will look into purchasing the other colors.

Lippy butter in teddy girl review

So I recently picked up a new lipgloss
At Ulta from Butter. This line is usually restricted to an array of nail polish colors in pretty pastels and funky glitters, so I was surprised to see they had added a line of lip glosses! I am always on the hunt for the perfect milky pink so I picked up the color teddy girl.

The first thing I noticed about this gloss was the distinct fragrance and taste. Although I usually don't mind, this was a bit overwhelming. The payoff of the color was nice, pretty opaque but it just did not really spread, it was so thick And sticky that I really couldn't get even coverage. I think the only way I can use this gloss is layering it lightly with a very emollient lipstick.
Overall I wasn't impressed. Sad face.

BTC in Sarasota and ybor

We got to shoot in historic ybor city for day one of our photoshoot! We had multiple locations around the city so we were being escorted be police car from each location. Let me tell you the backseat of a cop car has NO legroom!

Day 2 we shot at a beautiful house right on the beach. One of the props for the day was a restored VW van.
