What I have been up to lately!

Hey guys it's been a while since I've blogged so please accept my apologies! Here's a few random pics so you can see what I've been working on!
Chillounge is a huge event that Ana Molinari always sponsors every year, so we get to do the hair and makeup for some beautiful models! It was a success even though it rained right before our fashion show! Can't wait for next year!
I've been working with Sarasota magazine for the April
And may issues which has been so much fun! The may issue will be the results for the best of Sarasota poll! It was a very stylized shoot very retro glam! The one pictured is April which was shot on egmont key, off the coast of Tampa bay. We took a boat full of 10 people to an island of abandoned forts with no electricity or bathrooms it was an adventure to say the least! Everyone on the crew was a joy to work with!
Eden is a new arts and culture magazine I have been working on
the first issue came out which I had the pleasure to assist on, and we just finished shooting the 2nd issue for
Summer where I did the makeup!
Oh and my first ad ever made it into the first issue!
Ok that's it for my makeup adventures! Have a fabulous day!

Belk shoot day 1

Hello all! Here's some behind the scenes pics of my shoot with Belk department store! We had a great day, the crew and talent were so much fun to work with! The little girl in the picture was so funny! She was showing us how to "drop it low" and how to "dougie" LMAO! Shes only 4 years old!
We started at 730 am by the water at longboat key resort and it was 30-40 degrees for most of the day! Eeek!!
Today we will be shooting bikinis, and thankfully is much warmer!

Quick Tip: How to rock Orange lips

Waterproof makeup to the test!

Happy new year!
So I am prepping for a underwater photo shoot tomorrow and I decided to do some experimenting and put some products to the test! There are so many products out there that claim to be waterproof but I just had to see for myself before I tried it on set. This is not the look Im doing tommorrow, just something I threw together, so sorry, its not my best application.

So here is what I used:

Face: Dermablend foundation in medium
Eyes: MAC Lingering Brow Pencil
MAC Paint Pot Delft
MAC Eyeliner Blacktrack
Maybelline One by one waterproof mascara (not pictured)
Sonia Kashuk Full Glam lashes
Duo lash glue on left eye/ LashGrip on right eye
*I have never tried lash grip so i wanted to see the difference.
Lips: NYC 16h lip stain in persistent pink

Before

Ok! so i took a shower and ran my face under the water for a while without rubbing, I patted my face dry and here was the result. The Lash grip once wet turned white, both lashes were still on, but when i tugged they came off pretty easily. The cream eyeshadow and the eyeliner i used were perfect! The foundation was also intact as was the lip stain.

After
The final verdict, don't use false lashes underwater! I did some research and read that most latex glues do not work if completely submerged, even if they say they are waterproof. However I hear that "lashtite" from ardell works? I may have to go hunt that down in the morning.

thanks for reading and wish me luck on my shoot tomorrow! I will post some behind the scenes pics throughout the day!
